Greenland 2018
A bit of a tour, starting in Ilulissat, flying down to Kangerlussuaq, hiking the Arctic Circle Trail, taking the ferry up to Disko Island, a few days hiking there, and then another ferry back to Ilulissat.

Ilulissat and the Ice Fjord (12)
Ilulissat is justly famous for its nearby "ice fjord" which extends for 40 miles, and is packed with icebergs. -
Kangerlussuaq (8)
Kangerlussuaq is the largest airport in Greenland and day trips are offered from here to see the edge of the ice cap. -
The Arctic Circle Trail (14)
The Arctic Circle Trail is a 100 mile trail from Kangerlussuaq to Sisimiut. It's very popular but I didn't find it all that interesting. So I diverted and made a climb up a mountain, Taseeqqap Saqqaa. -
Sisimiut (7)
Sisimiut is the second largest town in Greenland and situated at the end of the Arctic Circle Trail. There is a very fine peak, Nasaasaaq,nearby which you can scramble up for some airy views. -
Disko Island (25)
Disko Island is a large island situated across Disko Bay from Ilulissat. It has some impressive basalt geological features and excellent hiking.
