Learned Traveller

In 2000, flying back to London from Korea, I looked out of the aeroplane window and was surprised to see some big mountains below. They were the Altai Mountains of Russia, China, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. So in 2015 I visited them and made an attempt on Mt. Belukha, the highest mountain in Siberia. Unfortunately this was thwarted by heavy snowfall, but it was a pleasant trip, and a relatively unusual part of the world to visit.
