Conversation with a Sri Lankan scuba diving operator:
Him: "There are so many problems with our government. So much corruption. Stupid decisions."
Me: "Yes. Although governments seem to disappoint people everywhere. Ours seem incapable of getting things done. They just talk all the time, and kick problems down the road for another day."
Him: "You know, the best social system," and he paused, "is colonialism".
Ha ha ha!
