Lahore is interesting, and I rather liked it. The thing to do is to go to a "Sufi night" on Thursdays. Sufism, in case you don't know, is a mystic branch of Islam. At Sufi night teveryone sits cross-legged in the courtyard of a local shrine, lots of cannabis is smoked, two men beat drums for a long time, and then people start getting up and spinning around to try and get high (or just dizzy?), rather like the Whirling Dervishes. I'm not sure that I really understood it, but it was certainly something different.
The Badshahi Mosque, in this picture, is rather grand, and I think represents the more orthodox side of the muslim faith in Lahore.
