This shows Gasherbrum II and the icefall which we had to cross to reach Camp I, as seen from Base Camp. Four times we had to get up at 1a.m. to climb over this icefall. If we had done it during the day the ice would have been unstable and too dangerous. It wasn't that much fun, to be honest. Some of the crevasses were enormous.
